Student Guest Post | Making Every Moment Count for School, Work, and Art by Corabeth King

For the month of May we are letting students take over the blog! This week's is written by Corabeth King, a 17 year old Junior from Columbus, Indiana. She only recently started using the Time Timer, but she has found great benefit in all areas of life. Her blog post below talks about how it can make a difference in the important areas of her life: school, art, and work.

Life gets busy and it’s easy to be overwhelmed by everything that needs done. Time management is key for keeping stress levels in check, and the Time Timer has helped me significantly with that. As a 17 year old at Columbus North High School, I use the Time Timer on a daily basis. School has always been a priority for me, along with art. I started taking a ceramics class freshman year and I've taken it ever since. Along with ceramics and school, work is important to me. As a Chipotle employee, I understand the importance of making every moment count by being efficient but also having fun. The importance of making every moment count is prevalent in all areas of my life, including, but not limited to, school, art, and work.

Like many juniors in highschool, I am taking several AP classes. While preparing for the AP tests, I have used the Time Timer more times than I can count! I use it daily, at home and at school, to time myself when taking practice AP exams. I love the size because it's so easy to take with me wherever I go! I also use the Time Timer to do my regular homework to help me manage my time. I've found that when I use the Time Timer, I use my time more efficiently and I get more done, helping me “make every moment count” so that I can have more time to do other things that I enjoy, such as art.

Although I do not have my own art studio yet, I will soon! Currently, I have a ceramics class at school, and I have 45 minutes to get out my project, work on it, and clean up, so time is always a struggle. I’ve learned to make every moment count in that class by getting my project out quickly and cleaning up quickly as well. With quick clean up, I have more time to work on my art projects. With more time, I can make more art projects, so making every moment count is important.

In art class, I am aware of time and try to make the best use of it, and the same is true when I am at work. I work at Chipotle, and making sure we can work efficiently is important. As at any job, working efficiently is important and necessary in order to provide the best customer experience. By making sure that every moment counts, we are able to work better as a team and create a positive atmosphere for both the employees and customers.

The Time Timer has helped me become a better student and a more productive person overall. Despite having a busy agenda, I am still able to find time for myself due to proper time management. I can’t stress enough how thankful I am for my Time Timer! It was one of the best Christmas gifts I’ve ever received!
