    Great for Studying!

    The Time Timer® Original 3” is a compact, highly effective visual timer ideal for focus, time management, or routines. Its standout feature is the red disk that visibly disappears as time passes, making it intuitive for kids, neurodivergent users, or anyone who benefits from visual cues over numbers. The silent operation is a major plus—no ticking sounds to distract you—though it still includes an optional audible alert at the end. At 3 inches, it’s portable enough for desks, bags, or therapy sessions, but the smaller size may be harder to see from a distance. Overall, it’s a well-designed, minimalist tool that delivers exactly what it promises.

    nice timer

    We like this timer to help our kids manage transitions between activities. It's easy to set and pretty sturdy -- one corner of the white part got mangled by a child but it doesn't seem to have affected the mechanism at all. The one thing I'd like to change is that I wish the beeping noise lasted longer or at least had the option to be louder because I don't always notice it if I'm in a different room. Overall it's been a big help for our family!

    Portable Time Timer

    This is the Time Timer I throw in a bag to take with me.

    General: It's a Time Timer timer. It's intuitive and helps visually track time. The colored disc is attention grabbing, making it harder to forget the timer is there. I wish the alarm on/off state were indicated on the front.

    Original 3" specific: I prefer the Time Timer MOD. I think the Original 3" sits just a touch too upright, and I prefer the knob style timer adjustment. That said, the Original 3" is a little more compact than the MOD, and the hinged plastic cover on the Original 3" prevents the dial from being bumped, which can set other models' alarms off while carrying them in a bag.
