"What is so powerful about this (the Time Timer®), is when you set a timer like this and put it on the table in a meeting, you don't even have to say anything. Everyone suddenly starts to realize that time is going by, we need to focus, and good things happen." - Jake Knapp
Best-selling author Jake Knapp has long been a Time Timer® fan. Knapp spent ten years at Google and Google Ventures and used a Time Timer® visual timer during the creation and execution of Design Sprints, a focused and time-constrained innovation framework. As Google Ventures explains, "Design sprints are a framework for teams of any size to solve and test design problems in 2-5 days".
Knapp published his best-selling book, Sprint, in 2016. Since then, Jake has continued to be a "time dork," utilizing Time Timer® visual timers in all areas of his life.
The Time Timer® Sprint Edition is a MOD®-style timer celebrating Knapp's revolutionary process that has changed how designers and developers work. It includes a Quick Start Guide to the Sprint process.

BLUF: Get it and you'll see a time benefit almost immediately. I've had my eye on this little gem since before Christmas. Santa didn't deliver. However, ironically a family member purchased me an "off-brand" from Amazon the day after I purchased this one. I've been able to compare side-by-side. Hands down Time Timer gets my 5 star vote - if for quality alone - yet there is much more. I bought the 60 minute and use it for Pomodoro's, etc. The visual cues are incredibly helpful for my ADHD (time blindness / future nearsightedness LOL). I quickly appreciated how the Time Timer knob only requires a short-easy-turn to the time I set and boom…history in the making! Or just my AM Routine... Helpful for time tracking, time blocking, and keeping me time conscious overall. My biggest negative is that I can't hear the tick-tock which I realize helps me stay time conscious (“hearing” time wind down). The competitor brand I compared to, requires a full 360 wind-up turn, then counterclockwise back to the time # I want. Annoying – just a slight barrier – I know over time I would gravitate away. The soft case makes slipping almost impossible yet durable enough for packing in my pack to work. Color is fun / cool. The Sprint Edition booklet is informative and I'm excited to do my first sprint someday - worth the purchase. I do VERY much like the RED circle, as it stick's out (more noticeable in my opinion). A subdued color would look sleek / professional, but I'm function…

I have purchased other time timers. This particular one that I just received doesn't start with a full circle....may not bother some but will definitely bother the person I purchased this for// enough he won't use it. It looks like it may not have been put together properly. Other time timers great.
Was this helpful?Time Timer20 seconds agoHello! The red disks on the Time Timer MOD has a clear edge that will sometime make it appear as though your timer can only be set to 59 minutes. When the disk is fully rotated, it is set to a 60-minute duration. The optional beep at the end of timing may also seem to be delayed by a few seconds because the entire disk, including the clear edge, must complete the rotation before time will be up.
